Trapped. It’s a feeling we’ve all experienced, whether feeling trapped in a job, habits, relationships, expectations, or debt. Feeling trapped is never a good feeling. It can hold you back from reaching your goals, and ultimately your financial freedom.
When you focus efforts on things that don’t make you happy (or even worse, unhappy), you’ll never achieve your goals. Sounds simple, right? So, why do so many people continue feeling trapped, without taking steps to break free?
Fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of rejection, and fear of disappointment. Sometimes it seems easier just to do nothing and hope it all works out. When you reflect on your decisions in 5, 10, or 20+ years from now, will you be proud of the path you’ve forged, or will you have regret? Will you look back and wish you had taken control of your finances, your health, and your happiness? It’s never too late for change, and now is the time.
Check out Trevi Financial for a new post each week as we unleash our Trapped series. We’ll explore several ways people feel trapped in their personal finances and tackle the steps needed to break free and achieve financial freedom!
